Navigating the AI Era: Find and Keep Your Customers in the New Battle for Attention

The days of the customer coming to you are going away. At a time of diffused attention, AI and other new technology give marketers powerful tools for getting to where the customers are–and to better appreciate what appeals to them. New approaches can show marketers where, when, and why prospective customers are making their decisions. Since human agency will always be a factor, how can marketers using algorithms also take into account the unique personal factors that go into these choices? At our conference of leaders in marketing, sales, advertising, and customer experience, we’ll explore how to blend technology with empathy to stay in tune with shifting customer sentiment on factors like value, performance, trust, prestige, and authenticity. How can marketers more accurately identify exactly what's working–and what's not? We'll probe emerging methods across the diversity of customer relationships–whether it's B2C, B2B, B2B2C, or all of the above–to find out how companies can build stronger bonds with their shoppers, partners, and communities.

The Single Player AI Trap: How AI is Making Marketing More Siloed, and the Only Way to Break Out (Thought Leadership Spotlight)

Hudson Loft 2nd Floor

As marketers adopt AI tools to work faster and more independently, a new challenge is emerging: “single-player AI” can unintentionally fragment teams, weakening collaboration, alignment, and shared context. Over time, that can create inconsistencies that put a brand’s image at risk. This session will explore a “multi-player AI” approach that helps marketing teams scale AI while preserving the collaboration, creativity, and brand consistency that make their work effective.

Before You Scale: A Strategic Framework for AI Readiness in Marketing Operations (Workshop)

AI tips for marketers have reached max saturation. Most orgs have deployed software and run pilots. Yet only 24% have fully embedded AI into everyday workflows, while nearly half of execs believe their org is ready to scale AI. That gap threatens those ambitions. Knowing where you stand before investing further is crucial—and that takes a structured assessment across five dimensions that decide whether AI investment compounds in value or stalls at the pilot stage: strategy, data infrastructure, martech readiness, team capability, and governance. We'll walk through each—what readiness looks like, common shortfalls, and how to set an honest baseline for future investment.

Join this workshop to learn:
-A practical self-assessment framework covering five dimensions of AI readiness
-How to identify your current AI maturity level and highest-priority capability gaps
-How to evaluate whether your martech stack has the connectivity, governance controls, and visibility AI-enabled operations require
-Diagnostic questions to bring back to your team and leadership conversations

Ariana Keil, Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Canto

From Question to Campaign: Winning Back Customers With AI, Live (Workshop)

Most marketing teams could tell you which customers are slipping away, if they had time to dig through the data. In this live working session, the room picks the questions and Capillary's Jack Ready and Heather Costello put them to aiRA, an AI agent for marketers, on a sample retail brand, showing exactly how each answer was reached. Together we'll find the customers who've quietly stopped buying, choose the offer most likely to bring them back, and draft a win-back campaign that waits for a person to approve it. Then we'll turn it into a dashboard a team can check every week. You'll leave with a repeatable way to go from a plain-English question to a campaign, and a clear view of where AI helps and where your judgment still matters. No technical background needed. Bring the first question you'd ask about your own customers.

Speakers:
Jack Ready, Product Manager, aiRA by Capillary Technologies
Heather Costello, VP, Customer Success, aiRA by Capillary Technologies

Modern Market Research: Getting Closer to What Customers Actually Think (Panel)

Hudson Loft 2nd Floor

As marketers face shorter timelines and more pressure to understand customers, traditional research methods can struggle to keep pace. How are marketing teams rethinking customer research, from using AI to gather and analyze qualitative insights to finding better ways to understand what customers actually want, believe, and struggle with? Where can new research approaches add value, where does human judgment still matter, and how can marketers turn customer conversations into insights that lead to better decisions?

The Proof Gap: Why Brands Are Showing Up for Creators in the Age of AI Search (Thought Leadership Spotlight)

Hudson Loft 2nd Floor

The evolution of search toward “agentic commerce” is changing how consumers discover and choose brands. While AI can scale the system by matching and governing information, it cannot replace the lived experiences that build consumer trust. This conversation will explore why creators have become the ultimate “proof engine,” as generic brand claims are no longer enough, and how authentic, creator-led evidence provides the human context and credibility AI models need to choose a brand. It will also offer a 90-day blueprint for AI readiness, with an actionable framework for structuring product data and creator assets to ensure brands show up in high-intent AI answers, not just traditional search rankings.

Brand Authenticity: Aligning Values and Expectations With Marketing Strategy (Panel)

As stakeholder expectations evolve, companies are under pressure to align brand messaging with clearly defined values. But doing so without diluting business priorities or drifting into inauthenticity is a complex task. How can marketing leaders operationalize brand purpose in ways that are measurable, consistent, and credible? How can marketing teams use customer feedback and insights to ensure their brand messaging reflects what customers actually value, and how can they use those insights to build trust and strengthen brand loyalty? As AI becomes more embedded in marketing, how can teams use it to develop and scale brand messaging without losing the authenticity and distinctiveness that set them apart?
