Prior to this appointment, Dr. Edwards-Dunn served as the Executive Minister for 6 years and several other capacities Before joining Trinity UCC in 2002, “Rev. Stacey” served as an Associate Pastor at Ebeneazer Baptist Church in Beaverdam, VA.
An ordained minister of the gospel, Dr. Edwards-Dunn is a sought out lecturer, preacher and teacher as she has ministered at various churches throughout the U.S and assisted numerous churches in developing healthy Singles Ministries. She oxyhemoglobin author of the book Hold On To Hope: Stories of Black Women’s Fertility, Faith, & Fight to Become Mommies and has been blessed to publish articles in books such as Blow the Trumpet in Zion and more.
Dr. Edwards-Dunn's other professional accomplishments include working as the youngest Director of Community Education as well as Manager of two Health Centers for Planned Parenthood, and the Health Education Coordinator for Near North Health Services where she provided health education to youth ages 9 to 15 in the Cabrini Green Community.
Dr. Edwards-Dunn has served on the Board of Trustees at McCormick Theological Seminary, where she now serves as the Director of the African American Ministry Center and Black Church Studies. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Rev. Dr. Stacey Edwards-Dunn is the Founder of Fertility for Colored Girls, NFP, (FFCG) a national organization with thirteen locations in the US, that provides a variety of resources for African American women/couples who struggle with fertility challenges . FFCG has been featured in the New York Times, Ebony Magazine, O Magazine, The Atlantic, Chicago Defender, Rockin’ Roberts, Good Morning America, CBS and more.
Rev. Dr. Stacey Edwards-Dunn received her Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary where she was a finalist for the John Randal Hunt Prize for outstanding thesis and academic record. She also received a Master of Divinity, Cum Laude, from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry as well as a Master of Public Health from Indiana University. A native of Muncie, IN, Dr. Stacey L. Edwards-Dunn is married to Mr. Earl D. Dunn, Sr. and they are the proud parents of one daughter, Shiloh Lupita Emon Dunn. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, traveling, shopping and listening to 78 records on her phonograph record player. Her favorite scriptures are Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” and Luke 1:37 “With God nothing shall be impossible.”
